At least two persons, including an MQM man, were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Saturday. Two more persons, including an ANP worker, were injured in firing incidents. According to police and rescue sources, unidentified armed men shot and killed Muhammad Daraz near Awami Chowk in Orangi Town No10 in the limits of Iqbal Market police station.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for completion of legal formalities. Doctors said he was shot twice, once in the head and once in his chest. SHO Muhammad Sabir said the man might have been killed over a personal feud. A member of Muttahida Organising Committee (MOC) was gunned down near Memon Masjid in Toori Baksh Colony also falling in the jurisdiction of Iqbal Market police station.

The deceased, who was identified as Abdul Hameed, 45, was a member of the committee and recently shifted to North Nazimabad from Orangi Town. SHO Sabir said the man might also have been killed because of a personal dispute. An ANP worker named Mehmood Shezad, 35, was ambushed in limits of Mominabad police station. Meanwhile, Zeeshan Qadri, 23, was injured in a firing incident that took place in Saeedabad police station precincts. Zeeshan was said to be a worker of a religious grouping. No case was registered till the filing of this report.
